To give you an idea of what a former student of mine showed me a year ago after hosting one of its most important events in the northern Indiana. They (their own octagon, but it costs $ 7500 to have built).

Venue hire - $ 2,500 (Disco Mayor)
Marketing - $ 3,000 (includes hosting shows repeat on radio spots, brochures and online promotions site)
Pro fights - two scheduled $ 2900 including travel to four fighters ($ 250 for the losers, the winners of $ 500)
Insurance for the evening only $ 1500

General total was 9900
Tickets $ 9500
Sponsor amounted to $ 6500

Total lay at 6900

Note that she and her partner to host events across Indiana and one of them near the most expensive at the time. Had 12 amateur fights and two professional fights.

She said that their average income is about $ 1900 in the smaller places such as fairs and things, but it depends on sponsors, and this year received check-chief, it was hard for her and partner. Only host three events this year because they did not secure the sponsorship money to compensate for the costs.

MMA Fighter Get amateur or semi pro fighters. In general, very little effort, they try to make a name.
Octagon - Octagon Budgett Baja 2000 - 4000 dollars.
Referee - $ 20 per hour for a professional.
Lighting - 600 - 1200 dólares
Insurance - depending on the society / state / local.

You forgot the place .. building rental, etc.

I doubt its power to subpoena Yahoo Answers as a reference. I think you should make some phone calls.
